Our History
Steve Kaufmann
My Insurance carrier journey started back in 1995 when I was trained as a Group Benefits Consultant and our focus was with the Financial Institution Market (Banks and Credit Unions). In 2000, I was hired by Union Financial Services Inc as their Group Health Benefits Agent specializing in Health & Life Insurance. In 2004, my heart's desire was to be my own boss and expand into the Property & Casualty market. I teamed up with American Family Insurance Co.
I really enjoyed the education and experience selling Auto & Home that American Family Insurance brought me but after 7 years I out grew their risk appetite in commercial lines. I desired to be able to consult and sell to any type of risk that was of my choosing not the underwriting department of a company. I left American Family Insurance in 2010 to be an independent agent representing multiple companies who gave me the ability to be more flexible and more competitive.
